Pray Every Day for World Peace

At Fatima, Our Lady stated that if her requests were heeded there would be peace in the world. Peace has been illusive in these 108 years since she appeared to the three shepherd children at the Cova da Iria. Why is this? She stated that war was a punishment for sin. How simple this is. Not only have we committed numerous sins but we now have institutionalized sin in society.

The closer that we are to God there is love and serenity. The farther we are from Him there is hatred and chaos. In this time when people of faith particularly are being attacked for their Faith and the unborn are being slaughtered with impunity worldwide, we cannot wonder why there is not lasting peace in the world.

As we approach the centennial anniversary of Our Lady’s request for the First Saturdays devotion, we recall that she promised an era of peace and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

The future depends on us. Peace is attainable if we follow her lead, fulfill the first Saturdays devotion and bring about the conversion of sinners through prayer and sacrifice. Prayer moves mountains because prayer moves God. Prayers offered to Our Lady to bring to God have special efficacy.

To this end the Holy Father has asked for us to pray the Rosary daily for peace during the month of October. Let us join him in this campaign.

“Pray the Rosary every day…in order to obtain peace for the world. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.”

Seeking God’s Guidance for the United States: An Appeal for Prayers

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation, the President has called for a campaign of prayer leading up to this milestone. A call to prayer such as this should be a time of unified vision and good will for the sake of our nation, which has put the need for Divine guidance aside. Let us put our partisan differences aside. Let us put our religious differences aside. Petitioning God to bless our nation should come from all believers.

Canonization of Bartolo Longo – A Saint for those Afflicted by the Occult

Saint Bartolo Longo, (1841–1926), the great Rosary advocate, was canonized by Pope Leo XIV today, Sunday, October 19, in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.

Our Lady at Fatima described herself as the Lady of the Rosary, and certainly Bartolo can be described as a great 19th century “Herald of the Rosary,” and one who was responsible for the growth and flourishing of the Rosary Shrine at Pompeii, Italy.

The Luminous Mysteries as Mysteries of Change

The Luminous Mysteries, which are usually associated with the theme of “Light” can also be seen as mysteries of “Change.”

These mysteries were introduced by Pope St. John Paul II on Oct. 16, 2002, and are made up of five meditations on key events during the public ministry of Jesus Christ. The Pope proposed these “Mysteries of Light” as an addition to the traditional Rosary to make it a more complete “compendium of the Gospel.”
