Patrick Sabat

Patrick Sabat was born in the Philippines and earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Our Lady of Peace College Seminary in the Tarlac diocese; he later held a teaching position at Tarlac State University. While discerning a vocation to the priesthood, he hosted a Catholic radio and TV program, and ventured into a computer/media production business. In 2003, he was asked to accompany the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue (IPVS) of Fatima, mostly to Asia and Australia, and five years later, gave up his career to work full time as the IPV statue custodian worldwide.

Patrick has visited 25 countries and territories, traveling nearly one million miles by land, sea and air, spreading the message of Fatima and promoting devotion to Our Blessed Mother, the Rosary and the Scapular. He has delivered over 2000 engaging talks and various presentations in many different settings, including churches, schools and universities, correctional facilities, nursing homes and hospitals. Our Lady has shown him the wonderful work of a lay apostle through the Pilgrim Virgin Statue Program, and the vocation he was searching for himself.

In September 2014, the historic International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima was placed under the auspice of the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA, where Patrick continues its teaching mission as the statue custodian. He and his wife, Mary Anne, and their three children: Elias, Patrick Jr. and Marci Anna, reside in Munster, IN.
