Our role in the defeat of the global Communist revolution

The global Communist revolution underway today is a consequence of Russia having spread the errors of atheistic communism throughout the world, which Our Lady warned about at Fatima in 1917. If it succeeds, the primary finger of blame will point directly at the Church, clergy and laity. Its defeat will require action primarily on the part of the Catholic lay faithful.

After the vision of hell shown to the Fatima visionaries during her July 13 apparition, Our Lady spoke of two requirements to prevent Russia from spreading its errors of atheism throughout the world – a collegial consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart and the Communions of Reparation, which we identify as the First Saturday devotion today. She told the visionaries she would return to request these two things without specifying when.

She returned on Dec. 10, 1925 to request the First Saturday devotion and on June 13, 1929 to request the collegial consecration of Russia. If there is any significance to the order in which the requests were presented, we would have to conclude that the first is of greater importance. This conclusion makes a great deal of sense because the collegial consecration would be a one-time occurrence that would thwart merely one demonic attempt at promoting atheism through Russia. The First Saturday devotion would be a permanent and ongoing source of grace to mitigate against all demonic attempts.

The 1929 request for the collegial consecration was not honored until March 25, 1984. While it was accepted by heaven, because it was the best that could be done, by then it was too late to prevent Russia from spreading the errors of atheistic communism throughout the world. Since the primary target of the request was atheism, which by 1984 had infected the entire world, the 1984 consecration was of the entire world, which, of course, included Russia. While its effects were many and profound, it was not sufficient to eradicate atheistic communism. Thus, the revolution we are faced with today.

As I said in paragraph one, “Its defeat will require action primarily on the part of the Catholic lay faithful.”

During all my years serving as national coordinator for the World Apostolate of Fatima USA, I have never fielded more calls than I have since the onslaught of the COVID-19 virus pandemic and now significantly increased since the riots fomented by the killing of George Floyd. Fear is the principle emotion expressed by almost everyone. Hope for Divine intervention is almost always voiced, and words of consolation seem to be always sought.

Apprehension is perfectly normal and acceptable. But fear is anathema to people of faith. The phrase “Do not be afraid” appears in the bible 365 times, as a daily reminder from God to live every day being fearless. St. John Paul II reiterated it countless times during his pontificate. Fear is a crippling emotion which, if left unchecked, will eventually destroy all vestiges of hope in our lives. Faith, hope and charity are theological virtues rooted in the intellect. Without faith, there will be no hope, and when there is no hope, charity will be superseded by self-interest. Those experiencing fear would be well served by an examination and reinforcement of their faith.

Everyone I have spoken with has expressed the notion that Divine intervention is going to be required to defeat the revolution. I have felt the same sense myself. But upon reflection, it occurs to me that Divine intervention is seldom extraordinary and that it almost always involves some measure of engagement on the part of His children. Has the Divine intervention we think so necessary already occurred?

The Fatima affair, taken as a whole, is an example of just such an extraordinary intervention which, as we all know, involves engagement on the part of the Catholic faithful of the world, because of the many requests Our Lady asked of us. Chief among them is the practice of the First Saturday devotion – so important that she returned to specifically request it as she said she would during her July 13, 1917 apparition.

Might the consistent, life-long practice of the First Saturday devotion on the part of the Catholics of the world be our most effective weapon? I say “yes,” it is. Think about it. It gets us to the Sacrament of Confession or Reconciliation, which purifies our souls and strengthens us against temptation. It involves the Holy Eucharist – the source and summit of our faith. It almost always involves us in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass – the most powerful prayer of the Church. It engages us in praying of the Most Holy Rosary – our second most powerful prayer. It develops everyone’s personal and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Mother in which she can inspire us, strengthen our faith, console us and keep us on a sure path to her Son. This consolation is of far greater efficacy than any word of consolation I could ever provide in a telephone conversation.

We have now examined the fear so many callers express, the Divine intervention they think necessary, and the consolation they seek. Hopefully, you will agree that the practice of the First Saturday devotion is the most powerful thing you can do on behalf of defeating the global atheistic communist revolution. You can learn all you need to know to practice the devotion under the “Devotions” tab on our website at: https://archive.bluearmy.com/first-saturday-devotion/.

Since the First Saturday devotion is only a once-per-month practice, you may be wondering what you ought to be doing daily. The answer is contained in all the other requests Our Lady asked of us during her apparitions at Fatima. Pray the Rosary daily. Sanctify the daily duties of your state in life by making of everything you can a sacrifice offered for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for offences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Wear the brown scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and live the consecration it signifies. You will find all the information you need at www.bluearmy.com.
