11:30 am – Rosary and Confessions

12:00 pm – Daily outdoor Holy Mass (Upper Shrine) followed by Adoration in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel until 3:00 pm.

Please Note: We do not have Adoration on Saturday and Sunday or on holidays.

For your convenience, outdoor restroom facilities are available in the bus parking lot by the red snack stand.

The Shrine grounds, which include our outdoor Rosary Garden and Stations of the Cross, will remain open from 9:00 am to dusk.

David M. Carollo

David Carollo is the Executive Director of the World Apostolate of Fatima USA. Mr. Carollo’s responsibilities include overall operations of the National Blue Army Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, located in Washington, NJ; the Apostolate’s hotel & retreat center, Domus Pacis, located in Fatima, Portugal, and the Apostolate’s mission of spreading the message of Fatima in collaboration with the New Evangelization.

A lifelong Blue Army member, he served on the National Board in various capacities including as president, and is a member of the International Board of the World Apostolate of Fatima. As one of the leading Fatima experts, he has been a frequent guest on EWTN, including The Church Universal, Jim and Joy, and Primetime Sunday with the late Fr. Andrew Apostoli. He is also a frequent guest on Relevant Radio with Drew Mariani, and a regular host Winds of Change radio in Chicago. He is a regular speaker at Marian conferences, Fatima events, Catholic universities and parishes, and the Fatima Shrine in Portugal.

Bishop James F. Checchio

The Most Rev. James F. Checchio was named the Bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen by Pope Francis on March 8, 2016. He was ordained and installed as the Fifth Bishop of Metuchen on May 3, 2016. Prior to that, he held various roles in the Diocese of Camden. Bishop Checchio served as secretary to Bishop James T. McHugh, vice chancellor, director of communications, moderator of the curia, and episcopal vicar for administration of the diocese. He also served in the Tribunal and as a member of the College of Consultors, Presbyteral Council, Investment Committee and Diocesan Finance Council.

 

Bishop Joseph N. Perry

Most Reverend Joseph N. Perry was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee on May 24, 1975. From the mid-1970s to the late 1990s, Bishop Perry was a priest within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, serving first as associate pastor of St. Nicholas Parish followed by an assignment (1976) within the tribunal department of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, becoming Chief Judicial Officer of the Tribunal from 1983 until 1995. Bishop Perry then was assigned pastor of All Saints Church in Milwaukee in 1995 until his ordination as a bishop June 1998.

 

 

Reverend Luke Mary Fletcher, CFR

Reverend Luke grew up in small town Indiana. Raised nominally Catholic, he experienced a profound conversion while at a rock concert during his freshman year at Ball State U. He transferred to Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Upon graduating from Franciscan University in 1996, he joined the Community of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in the Bronx. The friars live a radical life concentrated on prayer, fraternity, hands on work with the poor and the new evangelization. Fr. Luke was ordained to the priesthood in 2003. He has served as vocation director, postulant director, and presently as director of priestly studies. Fr. Luke gives retreats and leads pilgrimages.

 

Reverend James Walling, CPM

In June 2017, Father Walling came to the Blue Army Shrine as a guest priest and to assist Father Michael Venditti with chaplaincy duties during the Fatima centennial. When Father Michael took on a new assignment in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., Father Walling was asked to fill his role.

 

 

 

May 13, 1917  – On May 13, 1917 the three children took their flocks out to pasture in the small area known as the Cova da Iria. After lunch and the rosary they suddenly saw a bright flash of something like lightning, followed quickly by another flash in the clear blue sky.

They looked up to see, in Lucia’s words, “a lady, clothed in white, brighter than the sun, radiating a light more clear and intense than a crystal cup filled with sparkling water lit by burning sunlight.”   Read More…
